Updating account details

Using Zettle with your PayPal Business account?
If you're using Zettle with your PayPal Business account, the steps to update your account details differ slightly from what is described in this article. You can read more on PayPal.com/help.


As an e-money institution, we need to know who our users are. Because of this it’s important that you keep the information of your Zettle account up to date.

If any information has changed since you first registered your account, you need to update it.

Good to know: you can update basic receipt details like your phone number, website, opening times etc. any time by logging in to my.zettle.com. Read more here.


Below you will find how to proceed depending on what details you need to update.

How do I update my Zettle account details?

The below details are also visible in your account at my.zettle.com (click on your name in the top menu and select ”Account & settings” > “Receipt settings”).

  • Company name (i.e. the name you’re trading under)
  • Company address (i.e. the address where your business is located)
  • Owner details (this information cannot be changed on sole trader accounts)

For Limited companies

To update the above business details, please email us the following documents:

  • Your official registration document from Companies House (Certificate of Incorporation).
  • To update owner details please provide an ID (passport/driving licence) and proof of address (bank statement/utility bill no older than 3 months) in addition to the registration document.
The above documents need to be sent to support.uk@zettle.com from the email address you have used to create your Zettle account or simply use the contact form below.


Please be advised:

  • If your company has been dissolved or is currently in the liquidation process you cannot change company legal details. 
  • If you have registered a new company (different company number) you cannot change the existing Limited Company details on your account from one company to another. Instead, please register a new Zettle account

For sole traders

To update the above business details, please email us the following documents:

  • A copy of your passport or driving licence and a recent utility bill.

Please be advised:
The utility bill must contain along with your name the following details:

  • New Legal name
  • New Legal address
The above documents need to be sent to support.uk@zettle.com from the email address you have used to create your Zettle account or simply use the contact form below.
