Transaction limits

Here’s an overview of how much money you can accept with Zettle every day. These limits depend on how payments are accepted, e.g. whether your customer enters a PIN, uses swipe and sign, or contactless.

Increased contactless limits due to COVID-19

To limit the spread of coronavirus in your day-to-day life, the major card networks have temporarily raised the contactless limit from £30 to £45. This means your customers can simply tap their card or device to your phone or card reader when they want to pay –  no physical contact with your PIN pad, more peace of mind!
