Transfer of Services from PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. to PayPal UK Ltd (the “Transfer”)

PayPal (Europe) S.à rl. et Cie, S.C.A. is transfering all services provided to its users in the UK (including (if applicable) users resident in Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar) to its affiliated company, PayPal UK Ltd, on 1 November 2023 (the “Transfer Date”).

With effect from the Transfer Date, PayPal UK Ltd will assume all the rights and obligations of PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. in relation to our UK customers.

Will there be any changes to my Zettle account after the Transfer?
The short answer is “Not at all”.

You can continue using Zettle seamlessly when the Transfer happens. We’ll continue to support you as we always have done, and nothing will change in your day-to-day use of the Zettle by PayPal service.

What are the legal details?
PayPal UK Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as an electronic money institution under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 for the issuance of electronic money (firm reference number 994790), in relation to its regulated consumer credit activities under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (firm reference number 996405) and for the provision of Cryptocurrency services under the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017 (firm reference number 1000741). Some of PayPal UK Ltd’s products including PayPal Pay in 3 and PayPal Working Capital are not regulated by the FCA.
